How to apply for foundation in science?

Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) has introduced a new programme called the Science Foundation Programme. This programme is intended for people who wish to pursue careers in science and technology-related fields, including engineering, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. The application process begins with a screening test that assesses language proficiency, mathematics and science knowledge, as well as knowledge of the Malaysian education system. After the screening test, applicants are invited to a personal interview. If they pass this interview they will be offered admission into the course. This innovative course is meant to provide fresh graduates with foundational skills in scientific research, allowing them to enter science-related industries such as academia or research companies without having to undergo years of postgraduate education.

The foundation programme aims at imparting skills that are relevant in the science-based future. It is also meant to prepare students for university studies and research, as well as provide opportunities for hands-on experience in the field of science.  The candidates who have completed the foundation program should submit their application online. The application process consists of a number of steps that are required to be fulfilled in order to be considered for admission into the course. These steps include: applying for admission and registration, submitting an academic transcript, filling in a letter of motivation, sending off the supplementary application form, and submitting an essay.

Malaysia is known for being one of the top places to study in Asia. With a decent education and good infrastructure, it is no wonder that the country has a large number of international students studying there. However, despite the country’s success in internationalizing its university education, Malaysia still has a gap between the demand and supply of scientific professionals. The Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education has announced that the country will no longer accept applications for their undergraduate science foundation programme. This announcement came as a big surprise to many people, including myself. As someone who has been planning to study abroad in the science foundation programme, I was left with no choice but to apply for a different country abroad.

Malaysia is not just one of my top destinations for studying abroad; I’ve also had my heart set on this program ever since I began working as a science content writer at an international company. The university application process itself was not smooth sailing either.  The Malaysian government has introduced the Science Foundation Program in Malaysia to provide opportunities for its students to study science and technology. The course consisting of foundation, advanced and post-graduate programs is very attractive because it provides quality education with affordable tuition fees. Malaysia is one of the countries where university application for science is the most competitive. Therefore, applicants with a solid background and grades may have to spend lots of money, time and effort to get accepted into a course in Malaysia.
